What are the risks associated with blepharoplasty?
All surgery carries some degree of risk. While complications are typically infrequent and minor when this surgery is performed by a competent plastic surgeon, some potential complications may include the following: bruising, swelling, temporary difficulty with closure of the eyelids, temporary blurring of vision, temporary sensitivity to light or wind, ectropion of the lower eyelid, bleeding, infection, wound disruption, or heavy scarring. |
